Q. I recently bought a new road bike with a double FSA chainring on it. I have noticed on the large ring not all of the teeth are the same length? Is this normal or is it a problem?
A. What you’re seeing are the shifting gates and chain ramps, you’ll notice the tooth profile repeats around the chainring and correlate to the 3-5 pins riveted around the chainring.
